I have got that error code when the xbox was blinking red (RRoD, RDoD) i held
down the sync button and pressed the eject button to give me the error code

You cannot get a 0006 error because there are only 4 lights in the ring.

Hey i had a overheating problem with the slim. Now getting a 0006 error or
summit. Yes i have applied thermal paste. Does the slims need paste or not as it
has a circle copper plate which would sit on the fan which would cool the xbox
on the XCGPU what ever it is called on the slim.
