The newly remodeled Xbox 360, announced at E3 this week, will never show the three red lights of death. Ever.

That doesn't mean the system won't ever break, of course. It just means that Microsoft's redesign has done away with that messaging system to let the user know that their console had bought the farm. In an interview with Phil Spencer, Corporate Vice President for Microsoft Game Studios, it was revealed to IGN that the new design has a different way to communicate any potential hardware failures.

"Now obviously, the box has a way to communicate to you if something has happened...but yes, three red lights are not part of our sequence of telling somebody something is wrong. Obviously if you look at the success rate of the original 360s, we're very proud of both the way the company stepped up to support the customers that we had as well as the success rate we have with the box today. I think we've learned a

Today is aprils fool day and if you havent noticed it yet by now, this is meant as a joke. (:

We did not get hacked or anything in case that might have come to your mind ;)

We highly recommend you not to towel your xbox, nor do the penny trick to it as it will severely damage your console, not last longer than a few days until it will go to hell again and it will make proper future repairs harder if not impossible due to the physical damage that you are putting your xbox under!

This usually is common knowledge in the scene and we hope that this little action might make it obvious to the last penny and towel magicians how bad it really is and how hard it makes the life of those who have to deal with these consoles in the end...

We hope you found our little joke quite amusing and if not we sincerely apologize :)

Last but not least another warning:

DONT TOWEL, NOR PENNY YOUR XBOX, IT WILL KILL IT!

Regards,
Wilhelm & the rest of the XE Staff

An image of what is believed to be a forthcoming Xbox 360 chipset revision has been leaked onto the Internet.
The board, pictured below, is said to be the successor to the current chipset - codenamed Jasper - and features both the Xbox 360 GPU and CPU on a single die.

The combination of the two is thought to have been made possible by a die shrink, presumably to 45nm.

Thought to be codenamed Valhalla, the chipset appears to be a drastic redesign from current Xbox 360 boards. The Valhalla PCB (printed circuit board) appears to be smaller than all previous iterations, and a shuffle of I/O port positioning suggests that the board will surface in a new Xbox 360 chassis.

There have been some slight changes to the Advanced Hybrid Kits.
Since we are using new screws with smaller heads now and they are shorter(14mm instead of 16mm) spring washers are no longer required to fill the gap in between screw head and the X-shape of the metal cases.

Due to that we dropped the prices slightly.
The Advanced Hybrid Kit with thermal paste is now 15.95$US(old: 16.45$US) and the one without thermal paste 14.90 $US (old: 15.25 $US)

The new prices are in effect now already, yet note that there is still some old stock remaining so you might still get kits with springs.

Note that Maximus will ship instantly(click here), Xecuter is offering a similiar product but will start shipping in 2 weeks...("Stock is expected to ship within 2 weeks (Would have been this week as this has been designed and finished for a couple of weeks but it's Chinese New Year). RRP $17.95")

This device will help professional installers to do the Firmware reading on the latest Liteon drives (83850V2 & 93450). Its based on the MRA concept and 100% compatible with all Xtractor units, it connects directly on the Xtractor pin port. It came with 2 visual indicators, one for polarity check and other for Vendor Mode.

This device release could confuse some people because we just released Litekey. But the reason is simple, Litekey is intended for end users who want to install a device on their drives that simplify their lifes on future updates without having to re-open the drive, their main worry is about enjoying the console, they should not be bothered about pluggi

After quite some preparation time we are ready to release our project finally a BST Forum, some might still remember it from some discussions on the XE forums.

You can reach it under the following URLs: http://xbox-forum.com and http://xboxbst.com

This forum will be dedicated to the sale of all sorts of xbox 360 related things, consoles, spare parts, accessories, even xbox live accounts and much more.
There is also a dedicated section where you can offer your Modding & Repair services.

All this will of course be offered free of charge, as always.
If you want to help us donations are of course welcome but much more helpful it would be if you help us promote it, put links on your signatures, tell people who might be interested about it or if you got Google Ad coupons get us a few clicks from that.

Some Feedback would be nice!

Thank you in advance and we hope you like it!
