Philips Lite-On DG-16D2S DVD Drive flashed with iXtreme 0800 v3 firmware(Liteon AP25V3). Intended to be used as a dedicated "ripping" drive for creating Xbox 360 game backups. Just connect to a PC connection via sata or sata-usb converter and the drive is automatically detected by Windows. Powers direct to 0800 mode to be used with the popular "Xbox Backup Creator" backup program which allows you to rip complete game ISO files with full support for SS V2, XGD2, and XGD3 including correct AP2.5 topology data.
These drives are from a very reliable source which provides us with "factory inspected OEM pulls". Many are still in unused condition with manufacture dates of 2011. After we receive them, they are completely inspected/serviced/tested by us. If needed we do a full cleaning, laser power adjustment, drive belt replacement, re-greasing, whatever it takes to get the drives to "near-new" condition.
Each drive is tested with Xbox Backup Creator to ensure they can rip all the latest games without a hitch. They are tested to read both retail and backup discs (DVD+R DL) to ensure your backups can be properly read if needed.
After testing, we apply our in house warranty and quality check stickers so you know your drive was properly inspected and tested. In USA, all 0800 drives come with a 60 day replacement warranty. If the drive stops reading games, you can send it in for a replacement, customer just pays for shipping. If the drive has been opened or firmware reflashed, warranty is void.
How to power your drive: To use with your computer, you will have to either get a power supply with a molex-xbox 360 power adapter or use an Xbox 360 to power it.
You can use a Sata-USB converter to access the drive via any USB connection for convenience.
Checking/patching your ISO backup file:
For maximum compatibility we recommend running all iso files through a check with abgx360 as recommended by C4eva, "All necessary stealth practices still apply, and it remains the responsibility of the user to verify the stealth of their ISOs with abgx360." Even though the latest stealth patches are very good, there is always a risk of being detected and banned from xbox live if you are detected running backups, so play on live at your own risk.

How to burn your 0800 drive generated backup (iso):
For burning we recommend using imgBurn with the iXtreme Burner MAX firmware V1.0 for the following Liteon iHAS drives:
Liteon iHAS124B = baseline model
Liteon iHAS224B = 124 + LightScribe
Liteon iHAS324B = 124 + SmartErase
Liteon iHAS424B = 124 + LightScribe + SmartErase (or = 224 + SmartErase)
Liteon iHAS524B = 124 + LabelTag + SmartErase
Liteon iHAS624B = 124 + LabelTag + LightScribe + SmartErase (or = 524 + LightScribe)
This is the only firmware/burner combo that supports full 8.7GB backups on regular dual layer DVD+R DL discs with no CIV errors and still passes all current checks.

Legality: Can I backup my computer (xbox360) software?
Yes, under certain conditions as provided by section 117 of the Copyright Act. Although the precise term used under section 117 is “archival” copy, not “backup” copy, these terms today are used interchangeably. This privilege extends only to computer programs and not to other types of works.
Under section 117, you or someone you authorize may make a copy of an original computer program if:
-the new copy is being made for archival (i.e., backup) purposes only;
-you are the legal owner of the copy; and
-any copy made for archival purposes is either destroyed, or transferred with the original copy, once the original copy is sold, given away, or otherwise transferred.
Is it legal to sell backup copies of computer software (in online auctions or on website)? Is it legal to buy and use a backup copy of software I already own?
No. The Copyright Act does not permit anyone to sell backup copies to third parties separately from the original copy of the software. If you lawfully own a computer program, you may sell or transfer that lawful copy together with a lawfully made backup copy of the software, but you may not sell the backup copy alone.
We have been made aware of websites that are offering to sell “backup” copies of software via download over the Internet or in a custom-burned CD-R format, under the guise that section 117 permits this. Section 117 does NOT permit the sale of backup copies. Again, section 117 does not allow you to sell backup copies to someone else except when such backup copies are sold together with the original lawfully owned copy. It does not allow anyone to solely distribute “backup” copies to the public. In addition to being a violation of the exclusive right of distribution, such activity is also likely to be a violation of the terms of the license to the software. In many cases these sites appear to be a front for distribution of illegal copies, which is copyright infringement. You should be wary of sites that offer to sell you a backup copy.
And if you do buy an illegal backup copy, you will be engaging in copyright infringement if you load that illegal copy onto your computer, i.e., the unauthorized reproduction of the infringing computer program into memory. Lesson: if you want a backup copy of a lawfully owned computer program, back it up yourself.
